Manufactured in 1918. Fixed sights, with "COLT D.A. 45" on the left side of the barrel, two line address and patent markings on top and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the underside. A "GHS" inspection mark is present on the left side of the frame, with the Rampant Colt below it and standard U.S. markings on the butt with a lanyard swivel. Smooth walnut grips. With a brown leather holster marked "G.&K./1918./A.G." and a lanyard.

Very fine, with 70% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, bright edge wear, and light spotting and handling marks overall. The grips are very good, with light dents. The holster is fair, with extensive cracking, lost stitching, an absent plug, and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.

B) U.S. Smith & Wesson Model 1917 Revolver
Fixed sights, with "S.&W. D.A. 45" on the left side of the barrel, two line address/patents on top, and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the underside. Matching numbered cylinder, with "eagle head/S6" inspected frame, casehardened hammer and trigger, and smooth hardwood grips.
