Recording of Yuri Gagarin’s first flight into space

More than fifty years ago the world held its breath when the first man flew into space. On April 12, 1962, the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin (1934-1968) completed his spectacular space flight with the spaceship Vostok 1 and circuited the earth once within 106 minutes according to official numbers. The Soviet Union celebrated Gagarin as their hero. This collection of photographs offers an insight into both, his life and activities as a cosmonaut and also into his private life. The collection comprises numerous single photographs and one small photo album of the 30th anniversary of Gagarin’s first flight. Highlight of the collection is a photograph of the mothers of Gagarin and Korolev that is signed by the mothers.

The ‘Conquest of Space’ is a recording of Yuri Gagarin’s first flight into space. The collection includes two of these CDs that even contain a part with Gagarin’s singing.
