Collection of three items related to the underground music venue, The Cavern Club, including: a handbill for a Chuck Berry performance, 5 x 8, held on February 27, 1967; a handbill for VOX night, 5 x 8, held on February 13, 1967, urging groups to “see and hear the latest sounds from VOX, including the wonderful new VOX guitar–organ”; and a Cavern Club newsletter, 8 x 13, informing American teenagers that the Cavern Club is set to reopen. In overall fine condition, with slight toning and creasing to the letter, and show-through from writing to reverse of the VOX handbill. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. From the original collection of former Cavern Club compere Bob Wooler, a significant figure in the Merseybeat music scene who presented nearly three-hundred Beatles performances during the early sixties, and who is noted as introducing the band to their future manager, Brian Epstein.
