Reverse - Eagle holding olive branch ( peace ) & arrows ( strength ). The thirteen stripes represent the 13 colonies. The horizontal bar across the top represents Congress forming one government from many. Fifty stars representing the fifty states encircle the eagle. 1965 issue with 40% silver, 60% copper content, 11.5 grams each & highly collectible. The 1964 coins have 90% silver content. Additional Info: 1964 was the first & only year that the Kennedy Half Dollar was minted in 90% silver. This coin was minted after his assassination, & some of the 1964 proofs have the Accented Hair.
