A large and extensive collection of Saddlery, Harness, Livery, and Livestock related paper, photographs and other ephemera. A total of 566 pieces, including invoices, letterheads, envelopes, trade cards, business cards, advertising, sales tags, etc. A comprehensive selection featuring some of the saddle, spur, and bit business's most well-known makers and business people. Over 140 of the items are early California and the far west. Very rare names such as L.D. Stone, Main & Winchester, Visalia Stock Saddle Co., G. Goldberg & Co., D.E. Walker, H. Messing & Son, and some relatively unknown names like P.D. Logan, H.T. Dorrance and others. Other western states such as Montana and Texas are represented with names like Coggshall, N. Porter, R.T. Frazier, G. S. Garcia, Geo. M. Stafford, Sentinel Butte, Tom Padgitt, Chas. P. Shipley, S.C. Gallup and other notable makers.
