Collection of Renalde, Buermann & Other Spurs
For your consideration is a collection of cowboy spurs including two (2) rare, individual spurs: one stamped Renalde and the other with the August Buermann "Star Steel Silver" stamp with an adjacent star symbol; four (4) total spurs in this lot.

1) Often known as Renalde Crockett Spurs, Crockett Renalde Spurs or CR spurs, the name of the Crockett Spurs company was bought by James Renalde of the Denver Metals Foundry company in 1951. James and his son Jim Renalde also later purchased the Kelly Bit and Spur company in 1965 making them probably the largest owner of Spur making equipment, patents and techniques in America at that time.
This piece has the name, "Renalde" stamped on the top heel portion of the shank. The rowels are of the rockgrinder, otherwise known as "blood letting" type because of their very sharp tips which drew blood from the animal being ridden. The spur is in good condition, swing arm and buttons are intact and function as intended, the leather is supple, no cracking visible, sized for a small foot.
2) Next is a rare, pre-1926 August Beuermann military cavalryman's spur, marked on the inside, "Made in New England" on one side & "Star Steel Silver" alongside a star symbol on the other side, believe made after North & Judd bought out August Buermann. They continued to make Buermann's best designs.
Buermann Manufacturing Co. started in 1866. Over the next 60 years Buermann’s company produced the most complete catalog of bits and spurs of any company in the US, producing as many as 441 spur styles and 496 bit patterns. Many of these styles were original designs that were patented, as well as many other popular designs that were copied from other makers. Buermann also patented a metal alloy he called Hercules Bronze, which was a nonrusting alloy that had a nice bronze appearance (though it is not bronze). The Buermann Company was bought by North and Judd in 1926 as well as the Star logo.
Spur most likely made of Silver/Nickel metal alloy Buermann was known for inventing. The rowel is affixed without a pin, normal wear, scratches & scuffs, does not come with the straps. Adult small size.

3) A pair of designer pink, black and grey enamel painted steel cowgirl spurs with one part of the leather straps, manufacturer unknown, possibly just for decoration. Good condition all around
