"T. A. Rickard, formally known as Thomas Arthur Rickard, was born on 29 August 1864 in Italy. Rickard's parents were British, and he became a mining engineer practicing in the United States, Europe and Australia. He was also a publisher and author on mine engineering subjects." From the very early part of his career when he gained so much unled experience in mining, in sites such as: Mexico; Yukon; Alaska; Michigan; California. This combined with the massive and impactful advances in milling technologies, mine sampling, ore estimation and more made Rickard one of the top mine engineers in the world. Collector NK's fascination began with the acquisition of Rickard's own scrap books.
