Collection of debris and a press pass from the day of the Hindenburg crash. The Hindenburg Disaster occurred when the famous airship caught fire, crashing and burning during its attempt to dock with its mooring mast at the Lakehurst Naval Air Station on 6 May 1937. Photographer Dennis Bossone, to whom the press pass was issued, filmed footage of people pulling bodies from the wreckage and retrieved a few pieces of debris from the zeppelin, including these pieces of wood, cloth and two small metal parts. Press pass reads, ''...Press Privileges / Good Only on May 6 1937 / Trip No. 1...'', signed in print by Naval commander Charles Rosendahl, who was the commander in charge of the U.S. Naval Air Station. Pass measures 6'' x 3''. Very good condition.
