The present collection consists of nine snuff bottles, which were manufactured circa 1900 in China. The bottles form a delightful collection because of their multiple materials, colors and shapes. The materials include white opal glass, tiger eye, blue glass, ceramics with polychrome paint, black lacquered wood with mother-of-pearl, orange glass with red overlay and quartz. The bottles have different shapes and show a fine painted, cut or carved decor with floral, landscaped, figural and zoomorphic décor.

The bottles are in good to very good overall condition with minor wear. One bottle comes without lid, two others without the spoons. The total heights, with lids, vary from 5.5 to 9 cm. (cko)
