(World's Fair/Disneyland, 1965) An amazing collection of (16) dolls based on the "It's a Small World" attraction. These dolls were created by Pressman-Lipton Co. and are part of the Pen Pal series, which would encourage children to write letters to other children around the world. These dolls were primarily sold at the Pepsi Pavilion at the 1964-65 New York World's Fair, but were also sold later at the Disneyana Store in Disneyland. This collection includes 16 total dolls, with 3 of those being duplicates. However, since these dolls were hand-decorated and hand-painted, even the duplicates have unique aspect to them which vary from doll to doll such as the color of the eyes, types of shoes, and more. This set is a very impressive collection and features dolls modeled after a variety of different countries. Each doll measures approximately 8" tall, and the set is in overall good condition with some spots of wear and discoloration throughout.
