<B>Colin Powell: Signed </B></I><B><I>My American Journey</B></I></B></I> (New York: Random House, 1995), first edition, 643 pages, illustrated, white binding with blue-cloth spine and gold lettering, 8vo (9.5” x 6.25”), dust jacket (in protective sleeve). General Colin Powell (b. 1937) wrote this memoir after serving as National Security Advisor and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the first Gulf War. He followed the publication of this book by serving as 65th U.S. Secretary of State, a position from which he resigned in 2005. A bookplate signed <I>“Cl. L. Pll”</B></I> is attached to the half-title page.
