Two items: a fountain pen signature, "Cole Porter," on an off-white 3.5 x 1 slip affixed to a 5 x 3 card; and a fountain pen signature and inscription, "To Mildred, Sincerely, Ella Fitzgerald," on an off-white 6 x 4.25 album page, with collector's notation dating the signature to August 12, 1938. In overall fine condition. In 1956, American jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald released the studio album Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Cole Porter Song Book. Featuring a studio orchestra conducted and arranged by Buddy Bregman, the album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2000. Upon listening to the recording, Porter remarked: 'My, what marvelous diction that girl has.'
