This is a mixed lot of items including a blue VVS (Soviet Air Force) dress tunic (size small) and peaked cap belonging to Podpolkovnik (Lt. Colonel) Pyotr Tsesarenko from Irkutsk. The single-breasted tunic has Lt. Colonel’s shoulder boards, gold trimmed sky blue collar tabs, and white metal flight engineer wings on the right breast. The peaked cap has a "BOLSHEVICHKA" maker’s logo on the sweat shield, and is a European size 59. Also included are two photographs of Tsesarenko, both as a Lt. Colonel and a 1st Lieutenant, a pair of unused VVS Lieutenant’s shoulder boards, a selection of Ruble and Kopek coins, an envelope of Soviet era postcards from Irkutsk, and some correspondence in English to a friend in the USA written after the end of the Cold War. Last is an enlisted DDR (East German) uniform tunic in field gray. The tunic is a size small and does not have shoulder straps, although the embroidered Litzen panels are still present on the collar. This is an interesting assemblage of items from the ex-Warsaw Pact.
