American astronomer (1906–1997) best known for discovering Pluto in 1930. Original signed pencil sketch of a scale model of the solar system and Pluto’s place in it on an off-white 5.5 x 7.5 card, signed in pencil, “Solar System drawn by Clyde W. Tombaugh, 18 Sept. 1990.” In fine condition.
