This elegant vase features a flared mouth, slender neck, broad shoulders, and a well-proportioned circular foot. The bright yellow enamel ground is richly adorned with entwining chilong (mythical dragons) and blossoming baoxianghua (treasured floral motifs). The chilong, full of vitality, symbolize auspicious protection, while the luxuriant baoxianghua convey prosperity and auspiciousness. Additional decorative bands of lotus petals and fret motifs accentuate the rim, neck, and foot. Brilliant in color and exquisite in craftsmanship, this vase is a splendid example of cloisonné artistry and was likely intended as a decorative display piece.
