A magnificent cloisonné enamel incense burner featuring twin dragon head handles, each holding a ring in its mouth. The body is decorated with vivid blue enamel ground, adorned with scrolling clouds and twin dragons playing with a sacred pearl (symbol of imperial authority). The detailed dragons are exquisitely rendered, with gilt accents and prominent facial features. The domed lid is elaborately inlaid with coral, turquoise, and other semiprecious stones, topped with a flaming jewel finial. The incense burner rests on a carved wooden base with three scrolled legs in the form of stylized mythological beasts. This type of incense burner, likely from the late Qing Dynasty, was used in imperial rituals or as a scholar’s ​​studio display piece, combining artistic craftsmanship and auspicious symbolism.
