Clip point bowie knife marked “Edmundo Whitey”, “CA”, “Valparaiso” (Valparaiso, Chile) with ivory scales, German silver mounts, and original scabbard. Probably Sheffield made in Joseph Rodgers style. Theknife measures 12-1/2” overall with 8-1/16” clip point blade with sharpened false edge. The hilt is integral cast German silver with stylized finger groove grip, fancy crossguard, with pinned ivory scales, in very good condition. The blade is very good plus with just normal aging, slight spotting, most original polish. Original leather veneer over cardboard sheath with heavy leather carrier slipped over.
