Made by Claycraft Potteries of Los Angeles, California, (mid 1920's) these sweet miniature tiles are 1 5/8" square x 5/8" thick. The design is called "peacock feather", in the catalog. Hard to capture the subtle colors; the base is a coarse buff clay, and the glazes are blue green in the recesses and a paler blue in the feather's center. There is variation in the hues of the colors. Nice 4 tile set that would work as a floor, wall, table, garden or fountain accent. All tiles are in very good condition.
