Letter to art critic Gustave Geffroy, an early supporter of the Impressionists, in part (translated): "I thought of coming, these past days, to Paris, but I was suddenly taken of a discomfort which prevents me from traveling there for the moment: nothing serious besides, gastric embarrassment…Thank you for your good thoughts, with all my heart." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Monet's hand.
