Claude Monet Autograph Letter Signed, 2 pages on pre-printed Giverny and Vernon stationery, Eure region, France, January 17, 1913, to unknown recipient. A large bold signature on this untranslated letter. Some fading, else very good condition. The late 19th century art movement that came to be known as Impressionism was named after one of Claude Monet's early landscape paintings. A Parisian by birth, Monet settled in the village of Giverny because the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside begged to be interpreted on canvas. Professionally matted in a gilt wooden frame with a facsimile of a Monet painting and an outdoors photo of the artist. Overall dimensions are 18.5" x 27".

Impor
