Classic percussion half stock plains type rifle, .45 cal., 34” octagon barrel, brown finish, wood stock, circular patchbox, brass furniture. This gun is in overall good condition showing a dark brown patina on metal surfaces, scattered areas of erosion and mars under that patina, moderate pitting around the firing area; fair bore, good action, rear sight moved forward and original dovetail filled with a blank. The barrel is marked “W. H. Soper” , “London S.W.”. The wood stock is in overall good condition showing some scattered nicks, mars and scratches from carry and storage and a couple of old cracks on the left side opposite the hammer. Est.: $900-$1,800.
