Classic late 18th to early 19th century American flintlock militia musket approximately .69 caliber, 44” barrel and 60” overall. The brass mounts show light typical American-style engraving. The lock is simply scroll engraved. The stock is a reddish stained walnut showing some small repairs and minor restorations but generally good with some losses of wood in the tang area. There has been some minor replacement of wood in the fore end. A crudely forged ramrod is included. The American militia was armed with this type musket from the end of the revolution into the early 19th century. Est.: $1000-$2000
