Classic Spanish Colonial knife, 18th to 19th century, brass mounted, turned and rounded grip that is nicely inlaid with engraved brass scabbard showing influence of Spanish styling. Blade is 10”, knife is 14-1/4”overall. The blade measures 1-3/4” across widest part. The quality is very good with nice engraving. The blade shows some normal deterioration, the grip is good, the brass scabbard body is very good and is missing its leather or fabric liner. Could be made anywhere from Mexico to Peru.
