Classic Holland and Holland Royal grade full side lock double rifle in .450 express caliber factory marked on bottom of frame, “charge four drams and case 3 ¼ inches”. This Holland is numbered 16093 on Tang. The rifle measures 42 ½ inches over all with 26 inch barrels and weighs approximately 8 pounds. The frame and locks are beautifully engraved in classic Holland and Holland extra fine scroll motifs with Holland and Holland namein banner on each side of frame. The Tang is reinforced and extends onto the comb and is engraved to match. The rifle shows a stocking safety and gold inlaid letters safe. The barrel rib shows a nail file type mattingwith 3 leaf folding rear sites graduated to 250 yards. The rifle is stocked in fine quality walnut showing a good burl grain. The barrels show about 40% to 60% original blue drifting to a patina with some scatteredlight to moderate erosion and surface pitting.
