<B>Classic Comics #14 Westward Ho - Original Edition - Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) pedigree (Gilberton, 1943) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white pages.</B></I> This first edition has one of the highest Guide values of any <B>Classics</B></I> issue, largely due to the fact that #14 was published in a mere five U.S. editions, none appearing after 1947, whereas most of the other early issues were still in print 20 years after that! It's an adaptation of Charles Kingsley's England-versus-Spain adventure. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $1,181; VF/NM 9.0 value = $1,866.
