Aviator (1893–1976) who distinguished himself as the second pilot to fly a fixed-wing plane across the Atlantic Ocean, and the first to accomplish it with a transatlantic passenger. Peoples Trust Company check, 6.25 x 2.75, filled out and signed by Chamberlin, “Clarence D. Chamberlin,” payable to East Side Garage for $135.12, June 23, 1959. In very good condition, with multiple vertical folds (reinforced with tape on the reverse), scattered toning, and expected bank stamps and cancellation holes.
