William B. Shubrick: Original 2.25 x 3.5 carte-de-visite photo by Brady’s of New York, signed below the image in black ink, “W. B. Shubrick, R. A.” In very good condition, with trimmed top edge, and some trivial spotting to background of image.

Juliette Keyes: Unusual original 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite photo by Brady of Washington, signed below the image in black ink, “Juliette, wife of Capt. Chas. W. Keyes, U. S. A.” In fine condition, with a bit of light soiling to top of background.

Washington Irving: Original 2.5 x 4 carte-de-visite bust portrait of Irving, signed on the reverse in black ink, “Yours truly, W. Irving, U. S. N.” Published by Whipple of Boston. In fine condition, with clipped lower corners.

Richard J. Oglesby: Original 2.5 x 4 carte-de-visite portrait of Oglesby in uniform, signed in the lower border in black ink, “Genl. R. J. Oglesby.” Published by by Armstead & White of Corinth, Mississippi. In fine condition, with toning to edges.

James Alden: Two items: original 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite three-quarter-length portrait of Alden in uniform, signed in the lower border in black ink, “James Alden, U. S. A.” Published by Whipple of Boston; and an LS, one page, lightly-lined, 7.75 x 9.75, Navy Department letterhead, September 8, 1870. Letter to John J. Sullivan. In full: “On the reporting of Lieutenant Z. L. Tanner, you will regard yourself detached from the Vermont and waiting orders.” Clipped corners to bottom of the carte-de-visite and some spotting at the bottom of the image, and overall feathering to ink and slight foxing to letter, otherwise overall fine condition.

Ethan A. Hitchcock: Original 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite portrait of Hitchcock in uniform, signed in the lower border in black ink, “Maj. Gen. E. A. Hitchcock.” Published by E. & H. T. Anthony of New York. In fine condition.

Charles H. Hanson: Original 2.5 x 4 carte-de-visite portrait of Hanson in uniform, signed on the reverse in black ink, “Very truly your friend, Chas. H. Hanson.” Published by Davis & Co. of Boston. In fine condition, with a bit of soiling to top edge.

James M. Forsyth: Original 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite full-length portrait of Forsyth holding his sabre, signed vertically on the reverse in black ink, “Yrs truly, Jas. M. Forsyth, Master, U. S. N.” Published by Courret Hermanos of Lima. In fine condition, with slightly trimmed edges and scattered toning to reverse.

John Farnsworth: Original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet bust portrait of Farnsworth, signed on the reverse in black ink, “With complts. of John F. Farnsworth.” Published by C. Parker of Washington. In fine condition.
