Six items: original hand-tinted 7 x 3.5 stereoview of the perspective from Little Round Top overlooking the Valley of Death, published by Excelsior Stereo Views; a vintage albumen 7.25 x 4.75 photo of the seamen of the Union’s ironclad warship USS Sangamon, most likely printed during the late 19th century; original program for “Grant Night” held at the Middlesex Club in Boston on April 27, 1915, two pages, 4.75 x 7.5, featuring an image of Grant in uniform on the cover, and listing Senator Warren G. Harding as a speaker on the inside; original oval albumen 2 x 2.5 photo of Confederate surgeon Simon Baruch affixed to a color 5.5 x 3.5 postcard honoring the Civil War, presented on an off-white 8 x 6 mount which bears contemporary ink notations describing his participation in the Civil War. The display was evidently created for a Gettysburg Reunion held in 1913, per a small slip affixed to the postcard; an unissued war-dated Confederate states receipt, one page, 7.75 x 11, 1864, for L. Lyon for commutation of quarters from July 30, 1864, to October 18, 1864, with an endorsement by J. W. Johns written along the left edge; and a manuscript poem in an unknown hand, one both sides page, 8 x 10, no date, entitled “A Letter from Jim Crow.” In very good condition.
