With forged iron D-guard and metal grip, 28-1/4” blade, 33-1/2” overall. Blade measures 1-1/4” across the ricasso. The blade, hilt, and grip shows a matching dark patina with scattered light to moderate rust and pitting with no cleaning whatsoever. The throat to the scabbard is retained with hangar, and approx. 3/4 scabbard leather remains, missing tip which is approx. 4-1/2”. Clearly marked Courtney and Tennant, Columbia SC and is one of two models of this naval cutlass known that is so marked. MWF918
