Civil War era Model 1850 Officer’s sword and metal scabbard by Collins & Co., Hartford, Conn. dated 1862. The sword’s blade is in overall very good + condition showing considerable original polish, the guard and pommel have a deep patina, themajority of the rayskin grip is present although the majority of the wire wrap is gone. The plain brass mountings of the scabbard show a reddish patina, the body of the scabbard retains considerable original blue. Est.: $400-$800.
