Manufactured from 1863-1875. Fixed pinched blade and notched sights. The top barrel flat is marked "PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858 / E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION NEW YORK. U.S.A / NEW-MODEL". Brass trigger guard. Single letter inspection marks (B, M, and H) are stamped on most of the components, with "NJ" (New Jersey) stamped on the left side of the barrel and frame. Barrel numbered to gun. Smooth grips with no visible cartouches.

Condition: Fine. The barrel and loading lever retain 70% original blue finish and 30% of the original blue on the frame mostly in the protected areas with the overall balance a crisp smooth brown patina. The cylinder has a smooth gray patina. The hammer retains 80% of the original case colors. The grips are very good with a few chips missing along the bottom edges and some minor dings (mostly on the bottoms).
