Civil War Spencer Model 1860 Rifle
This is a model 1860 Spencer Rifle made for the Union forces during the Civil War. Front sight doubles as lug for socket bayonet, ladder leaf rear sight, three barrel bands, and sling swivels. The top of the frame has the standard three line Spencer address and 1860 patent date marking. Oiled plain full length forearm and straight grip stock.

Condition: Refinished and remarked (serial numbers re-engraved). The rifle has a mottled brown patina with a dark patina on the lever, lock plate, and hammer. There is some scattered minor spotting and pitting. The freshened stock is very good with a couple of repairs on the forearm and a filled repair on the buttstock (right side), along with some minor dings and scratches and a few minor gouges.
