Civil War Smith Cavalry Carbine, serial #20433, .50 caliber, 21 1/2? barrel with an excellent, bright bore. The barrel has about half of the original blue remaining at the breech, mixing with a smooth plum-brown patina at the muzzle. The frame has traces of the original color case-hardening visible with the balance having mottled gray freckling. The barrel lock spring retains most of its original bright blue and the brass opener has a dark yellow-ochre patina. The walnut stock and forend have an old military oil finish with numerous scattered handling marks and blemishes throughout. Clear inspector cartouches are still present on the left side of the wrist. The barrel lock-up is rock solid and the mechanism is fully functional. This is a great-looking Civil War Smith and is in very good to fine overall condition.

As an antique gun, this will transfer without any restrictions.
