Manufactured circa 1863-1865; while the contract called for 5000 revolvers, only 1500 were delivered before the conclusion of the Civil War. Cone front and pinched groove rear sights, with the top of the frame marked "ROGERS & SPENCER/UTICA N.Y" on either side of the sighting groove. Matching numbers are present on the barrel, loading lever, cylinder, frame and grips. "B" Ordnance sub-inspection marks are stamped on several components, and the lower portion of the left grip is stamped with the Ordnance inspector's script initials "RPB" in a rectangle.
