Very fine. The revolver retains 70% original blue finish with the balance a "patchy" smooth brown patina with some smooth gray patina on the backstrap and cylinder around the percussion nipples. The hammer retains some strong amounts of bright case colors with the balance a smooth dark patina and the trigger guard has a smooth dark brass patina. The grips are very fine with some minor dings and some mild chips on the bottom edges. The cartouche is clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent. A solid representative example of a Civil war Remington New Army .44 martially inspected revolver.
