<B>Civil War Quartermaster Circular and Associated Orders.</B></I> The lot includes a printed document, 8.25" x 10", Washington, D.C., January 20, 1865, from the Quartermaster General's Office, being an extract from General Order Number 357 detailing the appropriate handling of paperwork regarding the transfer of clothing and garrison equipage. The circular has been folded but remains in very good condition. Accompanying the circular are three hand-written extracts from special orders regarding distribution of rations from commissary supplies for the 37th Illinois Infantry. Each hand-written extract is one page, 7.25" x 10", with July and August, 1864 dates.
