Manufactured from 1863 to 1875. The revolver has an 8 inch barrel and blue finish, casehardened hammer, fire blue trigger and brass trigger guard. The top barrel flat is marked "PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858/E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION NEW YORK. U.S.A./NEW-MODEL". The barrel is mis-matched (65648) to the frame which is (64790). Small single letter inspection marks "W" and "L" are stamped on some components. Fitted with smooth walnut grips with clear boxed "BH" cartouche on the lower left side. Comes with a blue screwdriver/nipple wrench and single cavity round bullet mold.

Condition: Very fine as assembled with 90% plus original blue finish remaining, with thinning on the grip straps, some edge wear, a bright drag line on the cylinder and some thinning on the barrel. The trigger guard has an aged patina. The grips are excellent with some tiny nicks on the bottom edges and a crisp cartouche. The markings are clear. The action is excellent. The tools are good with some minor oxidation.
