Civil War Martially Inspected Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion Revolver

Manufactured in 1863. The top of the barrel is stamped "-ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA-", above the wedge is marked with the letter "D" on the left side and "E" on the right side. The three screw frame is cut for a stock and is marked "COLTS/PATENT" on the left side. The cylinder has the Texas Navy scene and "D" and "E". The trigger guard is marked with the letter "H" and the back strap is marked with the letter "E". Matching numbers on the barrel, cylinder, arbor pin and grip straps with the wedge marked "297". The grip has a cartouche (faint) stamped on each side.

Fine. The revolver has a mottled gray patina with the barrel retaining 30% original blue finish and the frame retaining traces of original case colors. Darkened original case colors remain on the loading lever. The grip is fine with some scattered minor handling marks and a dished out section on the bottom. The action needs adjustment as cylinder is out of sync.
