Civil War Letters From a Soldier in the New York Volunteers. Two letters from Union soldier Henry Walker written May, 1863, just days apart to his mother in Cooperstown, New York with excellent content including discussion of his convalescence after receiving a wound in the shoulder: “…have suffered very little from my wound, still seems to be doing well and healing. The ball will remain just where it is lodged…”, both letters with the usual fold creases, very good condition; and a one page letter dated May 30, 1870, United States Internal Revenue letterhead, to a C. H. Wildman concerning the inclusion of a Cavalry Corps patch into his coat of arms, with the usual folds, mounting remnants on the verso, else very good. Ex. Henry E.
