Description: Presented for your collection is this antique Henry Model 1860, .44 rim fire rifle. There was only about 12,000 - 13,000 of these made between 1860-66. Of those, about 1,700 of them were purchased by the Union Army, which added their inspectors mark to these rifles. This very rifle is one of those purchased and it has the inspector's initials CGC on it. This is a rare Civil War find. It also comes with a full box of original shells (period correct) for the rifle. Maker: Henry. Serial No. 6443. Approx. Age: Circa 1862/63. Size: Barrel measures 24 inches. Condition: Fair for its age. Wear and some imperfections expected. The barrel address is hard to read, but it's there. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description. Shipping: There will be a $15 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot. The actual cost of postage will be added on top of that.
