Civil War Era Sharps New Model 1863 Percussion Carbine

The top of the barrel is stamped with the three-line address ahead of the R.S. Lawrence adjustable ladder rear sight and "NEW MODEL 1863" at the breech. The action has Sharps and Lawrence patent markings featuring a saddle ring bar with ring on the left side. Smooth straight grip stock and forearm with single barrel band and crescent buttplate. The stock has a boxed cartouche (TWK?) stamped vertically on the left side of butt.

Very good. The carbine has a dark mottled patina with some minor pitting. The wood is very good with some chipping and some minor pressure dents and a legible cartouche. Mechanically fine.
