Featured in this lot are these Civil War era powder and shot flasks circa 1860-1890s. The lot contains two shot flasks and one powder flask. The powder flask was made by Frary Benham & Company, and features an adjustable spout for pouring different weights of black powder. It shows a hard leather construction and features metal rings at the top and bottom for connecting a shoulder strap or sling. It is marked on the spout reading, "Frary, Benham & Co.". The second piece is a shot flask, used for carrying extra shots out in the field. It shows a hard leather construction featuring geometric designs throughout and a brass top cap used to hold the shot in the flask. It is held onto the flask by a metal chain. The third and final piece is a long, leather shot flask. It features a leather strap for carrying and a brass pouring spout. On the spout is a small pull lever used to open and close the spout. The powder and shot flasks show good condition overall with wear present from their age and use over the years. No signs of major damage is noted. The pieces measure from 8" L x 3 1/8" W to 21 1/8" L x 1 7/8" W and have a collective weight of 9 ounces.
