Civil War Discharge Document 1st WI Arty
Civil War Discharge Document for a Private in the Wisconsin 1st Heavy Artillery. One page, 8.5" x 11", discharge date June 26, 1865, toned with an area of ghosting at the lower right corner, with fold creases, else very good. Private Orchard A. Flanders, a resident of Roxbury, Wisconsin, joined for a one year enlistment on September 21, 1864. Flanders was a farmer by trade and survived the war unscathed. An albumen image, 2.5" x 4", presumably of Flanders wearing his kepi is also included. The uniform appears more Confederate that Union but few details are present to make that determination.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
