Civil War Content Letter Written By Captain Daniel Hall, U.S. Volunteers Aide-de Camp. Four pages, 7.75” x 9.75”, Washington, D.C., January 27, 1862, in ink. This letter written by Hall seeks to get a friend's regiment transferred to General Irvin McDowell's command. Hall undoubtedly had some pull within the army because he casually drops several general's names. He mentions generals Benjamin Butler, Irvin McDowell and George McClellan. It's a pity that the letter's recipient can't be identified. The letter exhibits the usual crease marks but remains incredibly bright and legible. Near fine condition.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
