Civil War Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion Revolver
Manufactured in 1862, with a 4 screw frame cut for a shoulder stock. The top of the barrel has the one line New York address, "COLTS / PATENT" on the left side of the frame and the Texas naval battle scene on the cylinder. Inspector initials are found the bottom of grip, cylinder, barrel, iron backstrap and brass trigger guard. Matching serial number on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, and backstrap, with partial serial number (7058) on the wedge and cylinder. Fitted with a smooth walnut grip stamped with legible cartouches on both sides.

Refinished. Overall the revolver has a smooth gray patina mixed with a darker touched up gray on the barrel. The frame, cylinder and backstrap have some minor pitting, with most of the cylinder scene remaining. The brass has a smooth aged patina. The undersized grip is revarnished with a few scattered minor dings (mostly on the bottom) and very good cartouches. Mechanically fine.
