Rare circa late 1920s "right into the Stands" cardboard advertisement with the Yankee Stadium stands in the background. The clothing style and hats worn by the fans help to date this piece to the late 1920s - early 1930s. Pictured at the plate appears to be Babe Ruth with Lou Gehrig in the warm-up area; though they can't be identified with certainty their gait seems to give them away. Matted and framed to 25-1/2" x 26", there is some creasing evident as well as a few holes punched through, ostensibly from attempting to mount the piece at some time. Vibrant colors, a true "diamond" in the rough!
