<B>Circa 2001 Tony Gwynn Game Worn Fielder's Glove.</B></I> Though the lifelong San Diego Padre paved the road to Cooperstown with his bat, one must not forget that the 2007 inductee earned five Gold Gloves to accompany his seven Silver Slugger Awards (with two of the latter offered within this auction!). This highly customized personal model "Rawlings PRO-TG19" exhibits light but definite use from the outfield at Qualcomm, dating from the final years of Gwynn's stellar career. Note the great lightning bolt design on the backs of the fingers, rendered from two colors of leather. Yellow thread embroiders Gwynn's name on the thumb, above which he has signed in 10/10 silver sharpie. One offering from a terrific selection of Gwynn's personally owned game used material and awards, each accompanied by a letter of provenance from the Gwynn family. <I>LOA from James Spence Authentication.
