For sale in this lot is an old, original, Buddy Lee cowboy doll - circa 1940s. This was the mascot for Lee jeans. The mascot was later retired in 1962, but used from time to time at certain company celebrations. This old doll is from the estate of Virginia Reger Hadley, a famous trick rider, rodeo personality and wife of Hall of Fame announcer, Tom Hadley. There is a documentary called Ridin' Ropin' and Jumpin' Over Cars about Virginia which can be viewed online. Maker: Chester Reynolds, Lee Sales Marketer. Approx. Age: Circa 1940s. Size: 6 inches wide X 13 inches tall. Condition: Pretty good for its age, normal wear expected.
