<B>1940's Babe Ruth Signed Childhood Photograph.</B></I> Marvelous image of the Babe as a babe is instantly recognizable as the future Sultan of Swat. Ruth injects a bit of his famous humor into the inscription that appears in the upper right quadrant, writing, "What a nice little boy at age 3. But now, Wow. To my Pals Herbie & Gertie, From Babe Ruth." The blue fountain pen inscription is touched by a single droplet of water near the close of the first line, but is otherwise a bold and unimprovable 10/10. The 8x10" photograph exhibits a considerable degree of creasing, and some toning at the corners, but our catalog imagery should accurately reflect that these faults have little impact upon the visual strength of the piece.
