Circa 1910 Major League Managers Scorecard Fan . Magnificent die-cut rarity served the dual purpose of keeping score and keeping cool, though the former was never utilized. An attractive female baseball fan and an image of a ball and glove command the lower portion of the design where the scorecards are placed, while players and managers from the sixteen Major League clubs are ranged along the upper edges. Notables include Hall of Famers Bresnahan, Clarke (misspelled "Clark" here), Chance, Griffith, Lajoie and Wallace, as well as disgraced Dead Ball legend Hal Chase. Mild to moderate wear brushes the tops of the die-cut figures, though this example is far superior than the vast majority of the small surviving supply. The body of the fan measures approximately 9x10", not including the original wooden stick, which is still affixed with ancient staples. The piece is gorgeously matted and framed in complementary colors to a final size of 16x20".

Shipping: Framed - without Glass, Medium (view shipping information)
